Vessels of Mercy International has been working in Guatemala, holding medical and vision care teams in rural villages since 2009. We have served in the women’s prisons and halfway houses presenting the gospel. We are providing sustainable hygiene kits to school-aged girls, restoring dignity and allowing a girl to remain in school by being able to manage her period. We are teaching the prevention of Gender Based Violence and the Prevention of Sexual Abuse.
We hold Community Health and Women’s Health workshops to help improve the overall health of their families and communities.
We are currently working in partnership with CrossCulture Jesus dedicated to taking the gospel across cultural boundaries just as Jesus did: by having compassion on the poor, fatherless, and widows, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting prisoners and teaching the Word of God. CrossCulture Jesus operates in Guatemala under the name Asociación Brazos Abiertos
